Hi I'm Chris Morris.
I was born in 1971 and qualified as a pharmacist in 1994. Over the years I've developed a need to do something else, looking at what I knew and what I could do I thought of writing. I have always been an avid reader often reading two or three books a month.
I figured that with the number of books I've read writing one couldn't be that difficult! I was wrong, but completed my first novel, Prometheus and Pandora in 2004
I wrote my second, Second Chances, last year and then started writing some short stories.
I entered both novels in the "Undiscovered Authors" competition of 2005 and both were short listed.
I have received many positive responses for the novels but in these days of sale or return it seems that most publishers and agents are reluctant to take on new clients. Reading through several writing magazines it seems that the new writers that actually get published are just lucky, meeting an author or agent in the pub or are self-publishing.
In the Christmas edition of the Pharmaceutical Journal Second Chances received a very favourable review. To read it CLICK HERE.
As I have to work full time self-publishing and self-promoting is not really an option so the idea of Eloquent e-Tales was born.
My short stories seem to be well received with six being accepted en masse by Screaming Dreams Horror and Sci-Fi e-zine and Monsters being short listed in The Lichfield Short Story Competition.
I hope that this web site will produce enough interest to get the self-publishing idea off the ground or even be so good that publishing is not required.
I hope you enjoy reading these stories as much as I enjoyed writing them.
